Megan Ndale is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter & teacher currently based in Tanzania. She was born in the USA and lived 10 years of her life in Tanzania before graduating from the GLOMAS (Nordic Masters of Global Music) program, giving her a wide background of musical experiences, including East-African dance, folk, classical & jazz.
Trained as a Classical cellist, Megan is a versatile singer of many styles, plays folk fiddle and hand percussion; drawing from this exciting palette of musical references goes some way to understanding her unique musical and artistic voice.
Megan completed her bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Tumaini University Makumira (Tanzania) as well as her master's degree in Global Music (GLOMAS) from Sibelius Academy (Finland) and has extensive teaching experience across different cultures to a wide variety of students; she has taught in Tanzanian secondary schools, and has conducted workshops in the United States, Tanzania, Kenya, Finland and Denmark. Furthermore she has performed as a soloist and ensemble member in the USA, Tanzania, Kenya, Malaysia, Estonia, Finland, Denmark, and Germany.
She is passionate about bringing people of different walks together through the arts, and transmitting the joy and life-changing abilities resulting from simply playing music.
